Xu Zeng (1824-1903) was a scholar and book collector in the late Qing Dynasty. Yizhai, maisun, Renhe, Zhejiang (today's Hangzhou). He likes to collate and order books. He has excellent Tang culture, especially calligraphy and painting. He has a rich collection and is good at painting Buddhism.

Xu Zeng, in the name of filial piety, built a large courtyard "entertainment garden" in honor of his mother. It covers an area of more than ten Mu and is built along the East River.
