Xie Lansheng

Xie Lansheng (1769-1831), a native of Nanhai County, Guangzhou Prefecture, Guangdong Province, lives in Guangzhou. Jiaqing seven years (1802) Jinshi, Yangcheng academy head teach. He was good at painting, and learned from Su Shi.

Life of the characters

Ruan Yuan rebuilt the general annals of Guangdong and extended them to the general compilation. Su Shi was a scholar of poetry, Yan Zhenqing, Chu suiliang and Li Yong. He has a deep study of painting, exploring the subtleties of Wuzhen and Dong Qichang. It's a wonderful pen. On the Guangdong painters push it up, almost without shame. He visited Haichuang temple with Yun Jing in Wujin, and Lansheng creatively drew a picture of Six Gentlemen in Yuan Dynasty, which Yun Jing wrote. Tang Yifen attached great importance to painting. He died in Yangcheng Academy in 1972. He is the author of Chang xingzhai's anthology, poetry anthology, calligraphy and painting inscriptions and postscripts. all children work in calligraphy and painting.

The style is elegant and the color is bright. Yan Zhenqing is the master of the book. Chu suiliang and Li Yong are the members of the book. In his later years, he is similar to Mi Fu. He is the author of eight volumes of Chang Xing Xing Zhai's anthology and poetry, calligraphy and painting inscriptions and postscripts, etc. works: the inscriptions and postscripts of Chang Xing Zhai's calligraphy and painting and the anthology of Chang Xing Zhai's works are included in the sequel to the manuscript of Qing Dynasty.

Social evaluation

Xie Lansheng was a famous figure in Guangdong painting circle, and was sought after by Lingnan Painting circle at that time and in modern times.
