Yang Shihai, from Zhejiang Province, China. Now living in Hong Kong, China Chess Academy eight section. He won the "rookie Cup" in 1988, the third place in the 1985 National Junior Competition, the "frost flower cup" National Junior Competition in 1994 and the fourth place in the 1996 national individual competition. Won the challenge right of the 2nd Le Bai's cup and the champion of the eighth section of the first chess sage competition. The top 16 in the 3rd Chunlan cup and the top 16 in the 1st Toyota Cup. In 1986, it was designated as the first stage, and in 1997, it was upgraded to the eighth stage.

Personal experience

Yang Shihai experienced the Cultural Revolution when he was a child. At that time, the chess club had already been closed down, and all books had been banned. There were no books or chess scores to learn from, let alone teachers. In the case of self-study, at the age of 12, he participated in the provincial children's competition and won the championship. In September 1983, he went to Hangzhou alone to learn chess. In 1985, he won the third place in the National Junior Competition. In 1986, he was selected as the first stage of his career.
