Ren Rongrong's real name is Ren Yiqi, and his original name is Ren genliu. Heshan, Guangdong, was born in Shanghai on May 19, 1923. He is a famous translator and writer of children's literature. He graduated from the Department of Chinese literature of Shanghai Daxia University in 1945. After 1949, he successively served as deputy director of Shanghai Children's society department and vice president of Shanghai Translation Publishing House.

Profile

Ren Rongrong was born in Hongkou District of Shanghai on May 19, 1923, formerly known as Ren genliu. In 1947, under the pseudonym of "Ren Rongrong", he successively published his translations in the magazine children's stories published by Shanghai Children's book company. This year, his translations of Disney fairy tales such as Bambi and Dumbo gave Chinese children a sweet bedtime story.

He is a native of liuwangzhai village in ancient laoxia, Heshan, Guangdong Province. At the age of 4, he returned to Guangzhou to study in private schools and primary schools. He translated the first Soviet novel in 1941. He graduated from the Department of Chinese literature of Shanghai Daxia University (now East China Normal University) in 1945. This year, I translated the first children's literature. From then on, he took children's literature as his lifelong career. Shortly after the liberation of Shanghai, he was in charge of the Soviet children's literature series. Since its establishment in 1952, children's Publishing House has been in charge of foreign literature and published many good books. After that, he successively served as deputy director of Shanghai Children's society department and vice president of Shanghai Translation Publishing House. He has been engaged in translation and children's literature creation for a long time, translating a large number of foreign children's literature masterpieces in Russian, English, Italian, Japanese and other languages. In his early years, he participated in the reform of writing. Since the 1960s, with the advocacy of Ren Rongrong and others, children's publishing house began to systematically introduce representative foreign children's literature works and publish anthologies of important writers. After the "Cultural Revolution", Ren Rongrong was the editor and editor of Shanghai Translation Publishing House and foreign literature magazine. He is now the director of Shanghai Writers Association, vice president of Shanghai Translators Association and Shanghai Chinese workers association. He was the eighth Shanghai Municipal People's representative and member of the Seventh National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference.
