Mr. Yang resigned from his official post in February 2008 and began his career as a private enterprise entrepreneur. Personal achievement

He has been engaged in the research and application of gas chromatography in petrochemical industry and postgraduate teaching during his work in the Academy of petroleum sciences. He has made some achievements in complex gas analysis, development of special analytical system, research and application of capillary chromatography, etc. Since 1994, he has been devoted to the research of laboratory information management system (LIMS). He is one of the earliest persons to develop, apply and promote the commercialization of LIMS technology in China. He is also the main sponsor and organizer of the first academic seminar on laboratory information management system in China.
