Cao Yan

Cao Yan, male, Han nationality, member of the Communist Party of China, born in Anshan City, Liaoning Province in July 1957, holds a master's degree in education. He is a professor and a part-time master's supervisor of Northeast Normal University. He is now the director of Foreign Language Department of Anshan Normal University.

Cao Yan is in charge of the discipline construction of the Department of foreign languages. Language, literature and culture are the supporting subjects of Foreign Languages Department. As the main person in charge of the discipline construction, he studied the development trend of the discipline comprehensively and systematically, scientifically analyzed the current situation of Contemporary English language, literature and culture, and deeply explored its potential research trends. In the practice of research and discussion, he accumulated rich experience in the discipline construction. On the basis of previous research results, he created a new way and accurately grasped the new trend We should further study the starting point of this discipline, actively lead the backbone team of discipline construction, seriously explore the new fields of language, literature and culture, establish a new vision, and make continuous efforts for the early achievements of discipline construction. Under his leadership, the Faculty of foreign language department has gradually transformed from teaching type to learning and research type, and the atmosphere of scientific research and academic research has become increasingly strong.

In the spirit of student-centered and student-centered development, Comrade Cao Yan used the advanced teaching mode of tutorial system of Cambridge University and Oxford University for reference, and took the lead in implementing the effective way of cultivating innovative talents in Colleges and universities of the whole province - tutorial system.
