Guo Hui

Guo Hui (520-583), whose name is unknown, was born in Jinyang, Taiyuan. Ministers from the Western Wei Dynasty to the Sui Dynasty.

Born in Taiyuan, Guo family. At the end of Datong in the Western Wei Dynasty (551), he took the post of Sima in Tongzhou. During the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the governor of Xunzhou was granted the official title of Ancheng county. After the establishment of Sui Dynasty, he moved to taipuqing. He died in the early years of kaihuang (about 583 years).

Life of the characters

Guo Hui, a native of Taiyuan Jinyang (today's Taiyuan, Shanxi Province), was born in the Guo family of Taiyuan and served in the Western Wei, Northern Zhou and Sui dynasties. His father, Guo Zhi, was the prefect of Zhongshan at the end of the Northern Wei Dynasty. In the early Western Wei Dynasty, he went to Guanzhong yuwentai group and served as the governor of Yingzhou. At the end of Datong in the Western Wei Dynasty (551), he was appointed as Sima of Tongzhou. Yang Jian's father Yang Zhong was appointed as the governor of Tongzhou, so he had an old friend with Yang Zhong. During the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the governor of Xunzhou was granted the official title of Ancheng county. In February of the first year of emperor kaihuang of Sui Dynasty (581), Yang Jian was abdicated by Emperor Jingdi of Northern Zhou Dynasty and ascended to the throne. He established the Sui Dynasty and was known as emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty in history. Because he was an old man, he was promoted to taipuqing.

In the early years of kaihuang (about 583), he passed away as a eunuch.

According to the records of Huayin Guo family in the new book of Tang Dynasty, Huayin Guo family came from Taiyuan. Guo Hui, born in Huayin Guo family, is a branch of Guo family in Taiyuan. He is a descendant of Guo Mengru, Zuo Fengyi in the Western Han Dynasty. Guo Ziyi, the Prime Minister of Guo family in Huayin.
