Cai Zhizhong, male, born in 1948 in Changhua, Taiwan, is a famous cartoonist and honorary Dean of Jilin animation college.
At the age of 15, he began to become a professional cartoonist. At the end of 1971, he entered Guangqi society as an art designer and taught himself cartooning techniques. In 1976, he founded dragon cartoon company.
Cai Zhizhong has successively made long animated films such as laofuzi and wulongyuan. In 1983, he began to create four comic strips. There are more than 100 works, such as Zhuangzi Shuo, Laozi Shuo, Liezi Shuo, drunken man and bald detective, which have been published in more than 30 countries and regions in various languages, with a sales volume of more than 30 million copies.
In September 2013, the people's education press will launch the first set of "cartoon version" of Traditional Culture Curriculum textbooks for primary and secondary schools. In 2011, he won the "golden man Award" Lifetime Achievement Award.
