"The most handsome" APEC senior officials
Wang Yusheng has never forgotten the moment when he stepped down as a senior official of APEC in 1998. At that time, just after the Asian financial crisis, members of the APEC family held a party in Malaysia. At the party, the host suddenly threw out a question: "who is the most handsome senior official of APEC?" With warm applause, the audience answered in unison: "Wang Yusheng, a senior Chinese official!" < br > recalling this situation, Wang Yusheng was full of emotion: "from the bottom of my heart, this" handsome "does not refer to me, but reflects a full affirmation of China's foreign policy through me. China has always pursued an independent and peaceful diplomacy, especially in 1997, when "meeting friends in times of adversity" was particularly prominent. Therefore, what ASEAN countries said at that time "Shuai" refers to China, which is a sincere recognition of China's image. It was my happiest night in APEC.
