After his death, his posthumous title was king Kuang (posthumous title: Zhen Xin Da Du), and his younger brother Ji Yu ascended the throne, which was king Ding of Zhou Dynasty.

He pretended to invite Zhao Dun to the banquet. He ambushed the warrior and was ready to kill Zhao dun. Unexpectedly, Zhao Dun was rescued and escaped. Later, Zhao Dun's younger brother Zhao Chuan killed Jin linggong, and Zhao Dun returned to the capital. In October 607 BC, kiban died. His posthumous title was king Kuang.
