Wang Ding'an
Wang Ding'an (1833-1898), also known as Dingcheng, was born in Donghu County, Yichang Prefecture, Hubei Province. Five brothers, second. He once served as the water conservancy post missionary Department of Jining, Shanxi Province, and the political envoy of Shanxi Province. He was a 13-year-old scholar, who was paid tribute in the 11th year of Xianfeng (1861) and elected in the first year of tongzhi (1862). He was once recommended as the county magistrate of Kunshan County in Jiangsu Province by proofreading and annotating the eighteen schools of poetry compiled by Zeng Guofan. After his term of office was over, he served as Zeng Guofan's aide for 20 years. He wrote Xiang Jun Ji with Zeng Guofan's suppression of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom as a historical fact, which was praised by Zeng Guoquan. Later, he successively held the posts of Daotai and vassal of Jining, liusi Bing Bei Dao of Anhui Yingfeng, etc. Ding'an Gong's ancient prose is the author of kongyan Wenchao and Xugu Wenci Lei Zuan.

Wang Ding'an is good at historical records and has written 15 handed down works, more than 300 volumes and more than ten million words. The contents include classics, historical records, inscriptions, poems and miscellaneous notes, which provide a large number of documents and classics for the study of modern Chinese history. Wang Ding'an's Xiang Jun Ji was first written in 1887 and completed in 1887. It has been read for nearly three years and has traveled all over the five provinces. Xiang Jun Ji consists of 20 volumes, including the chapters of Guangdong and Hunan, Hunan defense, planning and restoring Hubei, supporting and defending Jiangxi, supporting and defending Jiangxi, planning and restoring Anhui, Suiji Huaidian, besieging Jinling, besieging Jinling, planning for Su, planning for Zhejiang, supporting Guangmin, assisting Sichuan, Pingqian, Pingdian, Pingjiao, Pinghui, Pinghui, Shuilu, etc And so on. Jiafu has a large collection of books. There are libraries called "Baosong Pavilion" and "Baosong library". According to his catalogue of calligraphy and painting of baosongge books, there were more than 120 cases of books and 18 cases of calligraphy, which were stored in dongneifang, dongwaifang, zhongtangwu, xiwaifang, xineifang, etc. among them, there were more than 10 kinds of song and Yuan editions, several kinds of copy of Song Dynasty, several kinds of copy of jiguge, and several kinds of copy of xineifang. There are many historical materials about the Xiang army and Zeng family. His catalogue of calligraphy and paintings in Baosong Pavilion includes many paintings by Zhao Mengfu, Qiu Ying, Zeng Guoquan, pan Zuyin and Mo Youzhi.
