Background of Book Writing
Li Xuechuan is good at acupuncture. However, from the early Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, acupuncture medicine gradually declined from prosperity. Therefore, Li Xuechuan lamented that at that time, acupuncture was despised. He thought that "today's medicine only depends on prescriptions, and acupuncture is ignored as a minor skill.". Therefore, I want to know the boundary between acupuncture and prescription, and propose that acupuncture and prescription can be both right and left, so that doctors can make a more comprehensive diagnosis and treatment in clinical practice. Therefore, in the 20th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1815 A.D.), the book of acupuncture Fengyuan was written based on the similarities and differences of acupoints in Lingshu, Suwen and acupuncture yijiajing, and referring to the prescriptions of typhoid and miscellaneous diseases.
brief introduction
There are six volumes in Fengyuan of acupuncture and moxibustion. Volume one is the Scripture of Lingshu, and volume two is the Scripture of Suwen. The two volumes have more than 100 quotations from the original text of Neijing and famous commentaries to elaborate the gist of acupuncture and moxibustion as the theoretical basis of acupuncture and moxibustion medicine. Volume three is a collection of books to extract the essence of acupuncture and moxibustion monographs of past dynasties and various acupuncture and moxibustion medical theories. Volume four is a collection of Monographs on acupuncture and moxibustion points to correct the essence of Tongren's acupoints Errors, including the bone degree, the figure of the place where people are lying, the method of folding the back, chest and abdomen, the method of the same body inch, the name of the whole body bone, the sequence of twelve meridians, the figure of fourteen meridians, the examination of fourteen meridians and extra meridians, and so on; volume V lists the acupoint selection methods for acupuncture treatment of more than 40 kinds of diseases, as well as various pediatric diagnosis and massage methods. The sixth volume is to analyze the etiology and pathogenesis of various clinical diseases and syndromes, and some prescriptions of Decoction and medicine are attached to the treatment of acupuncture, that is, acupuncture is the main treatment, supplemented by prescription.
advantage
Fengyuan of acupuncture and moxibustion is another comprehensive monograph of acupuncture and moxibustion with complete content and certain characteristics after Yizong Jinjian. Compared with the similar monographs of acupuncture and moxibustion in Ming Dynasty, its overall content is similar to Dacheng of acupuncture and moxibustion, but its arrangement is more refined. The original annotation of Neijing quoted by it is detailed, and the number of acupoints is more than that of acupuncture and moxibustion in Ming Dynasty Moxibustion Dacheng (moxibustion Dacheng) is more, adding two points of central and Jimai (361 points). Later, when people discussed the total number of acupoints, they mostly relied on this theory. The book also collects the new acupuncture treatment experience at that time, such as "Taiyi Shenzhen" and "pricking Sha method".
influence
A general survey of the book not only explores the origins of medicine, such as "Ling Shu" and "Su Wen", but also brings together the essence of previous academic thoughts of acupuncture and moxibustion, and examines some mistakes in meridians. It summarizes the theory and practice of acupuncture and moxibustion before the mid Qing Dynasty, which has a certain impact on the development of acupuncture and moxibustion medicine in the future.
