Wu Xianzi is a native of Gulang, a member of the royalist Association, and the main writer of the newspaper.

Wu Xianzi

(1881-1959) Mingzhuang, named Xianzi, named Mengdie. A native of Gulang. In his early years, he joined the royalist association with Kang Youwei, and successively served as the chief writers of Hong Kong business daily, Nanyang summary and state affairs daily, advocating constitutional monarchy. In the early years of the Republic of China, he served as the director of the Department of internal affairs of Guangdong and Hubei provinces and the counsellor of President Feng Guozhang's office, and co sponsored the national communique with Xu fosu. After 1918, he successively hosted the only daily, Republic Daily, civilian weekly and Bingyin magazine in Beijing and Hong Kong. In 1927, he founded the Chinese Democratic Constitutional Party with Liang Qichao and Xu Qin, and went to San Francisco to host the world daily, the organ of the party. He once served as the chairman of the party. In 1935, he founded the New York communique in New York. In 1941, he joined the China Democratic Political League in Hong Kong. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, the Chinese national social party and the Chinese Democratic Constitutional Party merged into the Chinese Democratic Socialist Party and were elected as vice chairman. In 1947, he was a member of the Central Committee of the national government and chairman of the Central Committee of the Chinese Democratic Socialist Party. Later, he settled in Hong Kong and wrote books and lectures. He is the author of Mengdie Wencun, etc.
