Zhang Zejun, male, born in September 1972, Ph.D., researcher and master supervisor of Institute of rare animals and plants and School of life sciences of West China Normal University; director of Chinese society of mammals; member of species survival Committee of IUCN (at present, there are only 10 people in the world who enjoy this honor, Zhang Zejun is the youngest giant panda expert of IUCN); bear expert of IUCN Member of the group, member of the international bear research and Management Association, member of the giant panda protection and management expert group of the wildlife protection and Nature Reserve Management Department of the State Forestry Administration, and editorial board member of the national giant panda protection project plan (2010-2020). Ministry of education "new century talents support plan" was selected.
At present, he is vice president of West China Normal University, director of scientific research department, and director of Key Laboratory of Southwest wildlife resources protection, Ministry of education.

In 2005, he was employed by Sichuan Provincial Department of construction as the world natural heritage site application expert of Qionglai mountain giant panda habitat;

In 2007, he was awarded as "outstanding young ecologist" at the Fourth National Symposium on wildlife ecology and resource protection;
