Shen Zan (born around 1596 AD) was named Xiaotong, zishao, Ziyu and Dingan. He was born in Wujiang (now Jiangsu Province) of Suzhou Prefecture in southern Zhili and was Shen Jing's younger brother. The year of birth and death is unknown, and it is said that Shenzong lived around the middle of Wanli.

He died at the age of 55 as soon as he entered the country. He is good at composing Sanqu, but he often lives in the name of others, so the name of the song is not popular.
