Zhu Youli (884-march 27, 913), also known as Zhu youqiu, was born in Dangshan, Songzhou (now Dangshan, Anhui), the second son of Zhu Wen, the Taizu of Liang Dynasty, and the elder brother of Zhu Youzhen, the late emperor of Liang Dynasty. Zhu failed to escape, so he ordered Feng tinger to kill him and empress Zhang. He was only 29 years old. After Zhu Youzhen succeeded to the throne, he pursued and abolished Zhu Youzhen as a common man.

Early experience

Zhu Youli was the second son of Zhu Wen, the Taizu of the Later Liang Dynasty. His mother was a prostitute in Bozhou. During the reign of emperor Xizong Guangqi of Tang Dynasty (885-888), when Zhu Wen was guarding Xuanwu and expanding his territory in Songzhou and Bozhou, he once led his army through Bozhou, called his mother to accompany him, and got pregnant. After Zhu Wen left, his mother sent someone to tell Zhu Wensheng that he was very happy with a boy, so he took the nickname Yaoxi and was later received by Zhu Wen.

When he grew up, he was cunning and resourceful. Zhu Wen's adopted son, Zhu Youwen, is versatile and old. Zhu Wen likes him very much. In April of the first year of Kaiping (907), Zhu Wen usurped the throne and became emperor. He established the Houliang regime as the Taizu of Houliang. On the ninth day of may in the same year, Zhu Youying was granted the title of king of Ying. At that time, Zhu Wen did not establish a prince, and he wanted to establish Zhu Youwen as his successor.

In the fourth year of Kaiping (910), Zhu Wen appointed Zhu Youli as the commander of the left and right crane control capitals.

Patricide and usurpation of the throne

Since the death of his wife, empress Zhang Hui of Yuanzhen, Zhu Wen began to indulge in sex and lust, and often called his sons' wives into the palace to accompany him. Zhu Youyu, the eldest son of Zhu Wen, died early; Zhu Youwen, the second son of Bo Wang, whose real name is Kangqin, is Zhu Wen's adopted son; Zhu Youyao, the second son; Zhu Youzhen, the fourth son. Zhu Youwen's wife, Wang Shi, is beautiful, and is especially favored by Zhu Wen. After Zhu Wen had been ill for a long time, Wang and his wife Zhang often served him. In the second year of Qianhua (912), Zhu Wen said to Wang: "I know my illness is not good. Go to Dongdu and call Zhu Youwen. I'll say goodbye to him." Zhu Wen planned to pass the throne to Zhu Youwen, so he said to Jingxiang, "Zhu Youli can give him a county and urge him to take office." So Zhu Youli was appointed governor of Laizhou.

Zhu Wen was usually fierce and cruel, and he was moody during his illness. People who were demoted at that time often issued imperial edicts to deal with them quickly, and Zhu Youzhen was very afraid. At that time, Zhu's wife, Zhang Shi, was also at Zhu Wen's side. When she learned that Zhu Wen wanted to pass the throne to Zhu Youwen, she told Zhu Youwen about it and said, "the emperor passed the national treasure to Wang Shi and asked her to call Zhu Youwen in Tokyo. You're going to have a big disaster." The couple cried each other. Around the people advised Zhu Youli said: "things urgent out of the stratagem, why not find a way earlier?"

Zhu Youzhen changed his clothes and secretly went to the left dragon and tiger army to discuss with Han Qing, the general army. Han Qing led 500 soldiers to enter the palace with Zhu Youzhen at night. In the third shift of the night, they cut into the gate of Wanchun. When they arrived at the palace, the servants were scared away. Zhu Wen was so frightened that he sat up and yelled, "I've suspected this thief for a long time. I wish I didn't kill him earlier. Would the thief have the heart to kill his father?" Feng tinger, Zhu Youli's official, stabbed Zhu Wen with his sword. Zhu Wen revolved around the pillar. The sword hit the pillar three times. Zhu Wen was tired and fell on the bed. Feng tinger stabbed Zhu Wen with his sword and went through his abdomen. His stomach and intestines all flowed out. Zhu Youli wrapped up with mosquito net and bedclothes and put them in his bedroom for four days. Take out the Treasury money, reward the officials and the army. Ding Zhaopu was sent to the east capital to kill Zhu Youwen. In the name of Zhu Wen, Zhu Youzhen falsely issued an imperial edict, saying: "I have been working hard for more than 30 years and six years as emperor. We all strive to achieve a well-off life. I didn't expect that Zhu Youwen would go against the plot. Last night, Jia Shi went to the palace. Thanks to Zhu Youzhen's loyalty and filial piety, he led the troops to suppress the thieves and save my body. However, the patient was shocked and in danger. Zhu Youfan has made great contributions to the elimination of evil and rebellious forces. He should be appointed to preside over military and state affairs. " And then mourn.

Ascend the throne and be killed

On June 16, the second year of Qianhua (July 27, 912), Zhu youfen became emperor before Zhu Wen's coffin. He was promoted to the rank of commander of Zhongwu army by Han Qing. After Zhu Youzhen was appointed to stay in bianzhou, Zhu Youqian in the middle of the river was the order of Zhongshu. Zhu Youqian did not accept the order.

After Zhu Youzhen ascended the throne, although a large number of generals and soldiers were rewarded in an attempt to buy people's hearts, many veteran generals were still quite unfair, and Zhu Youzhen himself was immoral, so people's hearts were boiling and people's resentments were rising. However, three thousand Longxiang soldiers in huaizhou hijacked General Liu Chongba and occupied huaizhou, claiming to beg for thieves.

In the first month of the third year of Qianhua (913), Zhu Youfan worshipped heaven in the southern suburb of Luoyang and changed his year name to Fengli.

In the first year of Fengli (913), Yuan Xiangxian, Zhu Wen's nephew, Zhao Yan, his son-in-law's son-in-law's Duwei, and Zhu Youzhen, his fourth son-in-law, conspired with General Yang Shihou for a coup. In February of the same year, Yuan Xiangxian first attacked and led thousands of imperial guards into the palace. Zhu Youli and his wife, empress Zhang, ran to the downstairs of the north wall to climb the wall to escape. Failing to do so, they ordered Feng tinger to kill himself and empress Zhang. Later, Feng tinger also committed suicide. Zhu Youzhen ascended the throne as emperor at the end of the Liang Dynasty.

After Zhu Youzhen ascended the throne, he restored Zhu Youwen's official position and title, and made Zhu Youzhen a commoner.
