Gao Huanwen
Gao Huanwen, male, born in March 1939 in Chengdu, Sichuan, is a professor and doctoral supervisor of China Agricultural University, director of the academic committee of Conservation Tillage Research Center of the Ministry of agriculture, and chief expert of conservation tillage of the Ministry of agriculture. He graduated from Beijing agricultural mechanization college in June 1961. After graduation, he stayed in the university to teach. He has successively served as director and department director of Conservation Tillage Research Center of the Ministry of agriculture, and Dean of mechanical engineering college. Now he is professor and doctoral supervisor of Agricultural Engineering Department of Engineering College of China Agricultural University. He is an international expert on agricultural mechanization of FAO, vice president of China Society of agricultural machinery, director of agricultural mechanization Committee of China Society of agricultural engineering, director of international soil tillage Association, academic leader of national key discipline "agricultural mechanization", and visiting professor of Inner Mongolia, Anhui and southwest agricultural universities. He has won many excellent teaching awards and was awarded the national excellent teacher in 1992.

Main contributions
Gao Huanwen first carried out the experimental research on conservation tillage system combining agricultural machinery and Agronomy in China. He established conservation tillage experimental sites and test areas for different types of areas and crops in Shanxi and Hebei. After 10 years of continuous efforts, he completed the adaptability test of conservation tillage in China, put forward conservation tillage system with Chinese characteristics, and successfully developed a series of small and medium-sized enterprises A new type of protective tillage machine.

Study on Conservation Tillage Technology
1. For the first time, he presided over the experiment of conservation tillage system combining agricultural machinery and agronomy, and explored the establishment of conservation tillage system with Chinese characteristics.
2. For the first time, the idea of developing light no till planters in China was put forward. A number of light passive no till planters, subsoilers and subsoilers were developed.
