Xu Si

Xu Si (the year of his birth and death is unknown), born in Xiangyang, was a famous scholar at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. He was a counsellor under Lv Bu's account. In the first year of Xingping (194), he worked as Zhonglang under Cao Cao, and joined Zhang Chao and Chen Gong to meet Lu Bu as a herdsman of Yanzhou. After Lu Bu was defeated, he went to Jingzhou to take refuge with Liu Biao. He once discussed with Liu Bei about the world's celebrities. When he talked about Chen Dengshi, Xu Si was dissatisfied with him, but Liu Bei opposed him. This is the origin of the idiom "Qiutian wenshe".

Historical biography
