Xiang Weiren was born in Qingdao in 1947. He is a member of China Artists Association, China Arts and Crafts Association, director of China comic Research Association, special senior painter of Shandong Academy of painting, vice president of Qingdao academy of painting and calligraphy, senior expert of Qingdao city and national first-class artist.

Introduction to art

Xiang Weiren has been working hard for decades and made remarkable achievements. His works have been selected for five national art exhibitions held by the Ministry of culture, the China Federation of literary and art circles and the China Artists Association. In 1981, 1986 and 1991, he won the second, third and first prizes for three consecutive times, and some of his works have been collected by the China Art Museum. He has published nearly ten thousand paintings, magazines and illustrations. His works have been selected to participate in the International Book Fair several times and won the first special gold and silver awards for art books in China. His works have been exhibited in Germany, Japan, South Korea, Australia and Nordic countries for cultural and artistic exchanges, and have been praised or collected. Since 2006, more than ten albums of Xiang Weiren's personal album have been published at the expense of several famous publishing houses, and Xinhua bookstore has published them all over the country. They are widely influential, highly praised, and often in short supply. Some of the albums have been printed six or seven times in a few years, so that soliciting publishing houses come in droves. He won the titles of "99 Chinese top 100 painters" and "200 Chinese landscape paintings in 2001" of China Federation of literary and art circles.
