Guan ganzhen
Guan ganzhen (1734-1798), with the word Yangfu and the name Songya, is the sixth grandson of Guan Shaoning. His former residence was originally the tanhuadi built by Guan Shaoning.
In 1789, he served as the governor of the Imperial Academy. When he was the governor of water transport, he was able and fair. Emperor Qianlong praised him for his ability. He either abandoned the ship and rode on the shore, or spent the night outside. He made a lot of achievements in water conservancy and water transport, and was praised for his kindness. In 1796, he was dismissed and died in Beijing in 1798. Guan ganzhen is also a painter and a scholar. He has the essence of Yun Nantian and has many works handed down from generation to generation, such as a corner of the five classics, historical records of the Ming Dynasty and Songya Shichao. His paintings are well-known, good at flowers and birds, especially in coloring peony.
