Yang Wengan? In the early Tang Dynasty, he was the governor of Qingzhou. Yang Qingzi was the governor of Dongwei, and Li Wenyuan was the governor of Dongwei.

Li Jiancheng sent Zhuhuan and qiaogongshan to Qingzhou. When they came to Chenzhou, they denounced Yang Wengan's rebellion. At the same time, Du Fengju, a native of ningzhou, went to Renzhi palace where Tang Gaozu lived and denounced him. Tang Gaozu was so angry that he wanted to depose Li Jiancheng. Li Jiancheng in Chang'an was called to Renzhi palace for house arrest. Yu Wenying, Secretary of agriculture, was sent to Qingzhou to summon Yang Wengan. Yu Wenying to Qingzhou, but privately told Yang Wengan. On June 24, 624, Yang Wengan launched a rebellion. Tang Gaozu sent zuowuwei General Qian Jiulong and Lingzhou Governor Yang Shidao to attack Yang Wengan. On June 26, Emperor Gaozu of Tang Dynasty sent Qin King Li Shimin to attack Yang Wengan. Yang Wengan captured ningzhou, but was soon defeated by Li Shimin. On the fifth day of July, Yang Wengan was killed by his subordinates. Li Shimin caught Yu Wenying and killed him.
