Wang Tingna

Wang Tingna (1573-1619), who was born in Haiyang Town, Xiuning, Anhui Province, was a man of Changchao and Wuwei.

Life

He was a disciple of Shen Jing, the leader of Wujiang school. He also made friends with Tang Xianzu, Wang Zhitang and Li Zhi. He lived in Nanjing for a long time, tasted all the famous people, and had a feast in Zhuyin garden. Make friends with Tang Xianzu and others. He was an official salt transport envoy and later relegated to Ningbo Prefecture.

In the golden autumn of 1608, Tang Xianzu, a famous dramatist and author of the Peony Pavilion, traveled with Cheng boshu to the land of Xiuning from thousands of miles away to visit Wang Tingna. Wang Tingna accompanied two visitors from afar to huancuitang garden, where they drank wine, talked about the past and the present, recited poems, played the piano and played chess for several days. Later, Wang Tingna went on a trip with Tang and Cheng Eryou to Nanjing via Wuhu. He recited poems and couplets all the way to express his feelings, leaving behind a good story in the literary world. After that, Tang Xianzu said in his notes on sitting in the spirit: when he arrived at Haiyang, he found Huancui hall, Baihe tower, Changgong lake, Zhifang mushroom Pavilion and luxie wind Pavilion. Tingneshan opera, the author of the drama "guanglingyue" and the legend "huancuitang Yuefu" 18 kinds. There are only 15 names of Yuefu in Huancui hall, which are Tongsheng, Changsheng, Shihao, Tianshu, Sanzhu, Zhongyu, yilie, caizhou, Toutao, Erge, Qiguo, Weifeng, Feiyu, Qingmei and Gaoshi Caizhou and Zhongyu are all written by Chen. Siku Zongmu has four volumes of Huancui Tang zuoyin Jixuan, including one volume of poetry, one volume of northern and southern songs, and one volume of accompanying records. The engraving of landscape of huancuitang was printed by Wang Tingna's huancuitang bookstore in the 30th to 33rd year of Wanli (1602-1605). It is 1488 cm in length and 24 cm in height. It also records the basic necessities of life, working life, religious belief, culture and entertainment, courtyard furnishings, meeting etiquette and so on.
