Sun Lang

Sun Lang

Sun Lang is a figure of Wu state in the Three Kingdoms period. According to Zhilin, a citation from the biography of Sun Jian in the annals of the Three Kingdoms, Wu Shu, sun Lang is the son of Sun Jian, whose mother is unknown, and is also known as sun Ren.

Overview of characters

Sun Jian's common son, also known as sun Ren, only knows that his age is under Wu's four sons, and all other experiences are unknown.

Character controversy

According to jiangbiaozhuan, Cao Xiu sent troops to Dongkou in the first year of Huangwu (222), and LV fan led the army to resist. At that time, sun Kuang was the general of Dingwu Zhonglang, who was on the expedition. In violation of LV fan's order, he set fire and burned Mao mang. Therefore, the military was insufficient. According to the military law, he should be executed. Because of his clan status, he was handed over to Sun Quan by Lu Fan. Sun Quan divided his family into Ding family and was imprisoned for life.

However, according to the official history, sun Kuang never held any official post and died in his twenties. He could not live until the reign of Huang Wu, which is inconsistent with the records of Jiang biaozhuan. Pei Songzhi speculates that the person mentioned in Jiang biaozhuan is not sun Kuang, but Sun Lang.

Image of romance

In the romance of Wu Guolang, sun Taijian is the mother of the Three Kingdoms. Before his death, sun CE ordered his brothers to assist Sun Quan, and since then sun Lang has never appeared on the stage again. In addition, his alias sun Ren is recorded as the name of the daughter Sun Jian had with Wu Guotai. This daughter may be Mrs. sun who later married Liu Bei in the romance.
