Murong Yong was also among the relocated people. Although Murong Yong was an aristocrat, he could be a collateral branch. He could not get rid of poverty in Chang'an, so he had to sell boots with his wife in Chang'an.

In 384, Murong Hong, Murong Wei's younger brother, set up Xiyan in Guanzhong. Before long, Murong Wei conspired with Xianbei people to assassinate Fu Jian, but the matter finally leaked out and was killed by Fu Jian instead. In June of the same year, Murong Hong was killed by his counsellors Gao Gai and Su qinchong. In 385, Murong Chong, the younger brother of Murong Hong, became emperor and appointed Murong Yong as a junior general. Change from emperor to yuan

In 386, Murong Chong liked to live in Chang'an. He was afraid of the prosperity of Murong Chui, Emperor Wu Cheng of the later Yan Dynasty. He did not dare to return to the East, so he took classes in agriculture and built rooms, hoping to live in peace for a long time. All Xianbei people resent him. Following the discontent of the public, General Han Yan attacked Murong Chong and killed him. Duan Sui, the leader of Murong Chong, became the king of Yan and changed his name to Changping.

In March, 386, Murong Yong and Zuobu shemurong Heng secretly planned to attack Duan Sui and set Murong Kai, the son of Murong Huan, king of Yidu, as king of Yan. He changed his name to Jianming. He led more than 300000 men and women of Xianbei nationality, as well as real seals of Chengyu's clothing and ritual instruments. He left Chang'an and headed east to serve as the general of Wuwei. Murong Tao, Murong Heng's younger brother and general of the garrison, secretly conspires to lure Murong Kai to Linjin and kill him. Murong Heng leaves angrily. Murong Yong and general Diao Yun led soldiers to attack Murong Tao. Murong Tao sent Sima Suqin Li to fight against him. Murong Yong captured him and killed him. Murong Tao was afraid and ran out to Murong Heng's camp. Murong Heng established Murong Yao, the son of Murong Chong, as emperor, with the year of Jianping. All the members left Murong Yao and went to Murong Yong. Murong Yong caught Murong Yao and killed him. Murong Zhong, Murong Hong's son, was appointed emperor and his name was changed to Jianwu. Murong Zhong took Murong Yong as his Taiwei, kept the order of Shangshu, and was granted the title of Lord Hedong. When Wen Xi arrived, he knew that murongchui had become emperor. Shang Shulang and Bao Zun from Bohai said: "it's Bian Zhuang's best policy to watch their decline slowly." Zhang Teng, the Minister of Zhongshu and a native of Taiyuan, said: "there is a great disparity between the strong and the weak. What is the decline to speak of! It's better to rescue him to create a confrontation. They can lead the army to Zhongshan, camouflage a lot of people during the day, and hold multiple torches at night. They will be afraid and withdraw. We are in the front and Zhai Zhao is in the back. This is a good opportunity that can't be lost. " Murong will never agree. Zhai Zhao was demoted to Murong Yong after his defeat. Murong Yong appointed Zhai Zhao as a general of motorcycles and king of Dongjun. More than a year later, Zhai zhaotu murdered Murong Yong, who killed him.

In February of the 19th year of Taiyuan (394), Murong Chui left Qinghe Gong, Murong Hui, to guard Yecheng, mobilized the troops of Sizhou, Jizhou, Qingzhou and Yanzhou, and dispatched King Murong Kai of Taiyuan to attack from Fukou, King Murong Nong of western Liaoning to attack from Huguan, and Murong Chui himself to march from Shating to jointly attack Xiyan. He deliberately assigned tasks openly and prepared the troops. When Murong Yong heard the news, he sent his troops and horses to guard the platform wall closely. He gathered food and materials on the platform wall and sent his nephew general Murong Yidou GUI, General Wang ciduo and right general Le Maju to lead more than 10000 people to defend the platform wall.

In April, murongchui was stationed in the southwest of Yecheng and did not move forward for more than a month. Murong Yong felt very strange. He thought that the Taihang Road was wide. He suspected that Murong Chui was going to sneak through. So he mobilized several troops to garrison at Panguan, blocked the Taihang Road, and left only the troops guarding the wall. On April 20, murongchui led a large army from Fukou to tianjingguan. On the first day of May, Hou Yan's army arrived at Taibi. Murong Yong sent his cousin, Tai Wei Murong Yidou GUI, to lead the army to rescue him. In the end, he was defeated by Hou Yan's general Ping GUI. On May 15, murongchui set up a battle in the area south of Taibi, and sent murongguo, a valiant general, to lead more than 1000 cavalry troops to ambush under the mountain stream. On May 16, Murong Chui and Murong Yong fought a decisive battle. Murong Chui pretended to be defeated. Murong Yong led his troops to chase him for several miles. The cavalry troops led by Murong Kingdom suddenly came out of the mountain stream and cut off Murong Yong's back road. All the troops of Houyan attacked Murong Yong from all sides and defeated the troops of Xiyan, killing more than 8000 soldiers of Xiyan. Murong Yong fled back to his eldest son in a panic. The general of Jinyang in Xiyan heard that his side was defeated and fled from the city. Later Yandan Yang Wang murongzan and others captured Jinyang.

Murongchui's command surrounded the eldest son. Murong Yong plans to go to the post Qin Dynasty. Shi Zhong Lan Ying said: "when Shihu attacked Longdu, Murong Shui, the civilized emperor of the former Yan Dynasty, held fast to the city and refused to leave, which finally became the foundation of the former Yan Dynasty. Now, murongchui is a 70 year old man. He hates the long-term war and can't attack us all the time. We should only guard the city and bring down the enemy. " Murong Yong listened to his advice.

In August, Murong Yong was besieged and in a critical situation. His son Murong Hong, the Duke of Changshan, was sent to ask Xi Hui, the governor of Yongzhou in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, for help, and offered a jade seal as a gift. Xi Hui said: "if Murong Chui annex Murong Yong, it will bring us more disasters. Let them coexist for a while. We can also look for opportunities to get rid of both of them at the same time." Emperor Xiaowu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty thought he was right, so he ordered diaoqing, governor Wang Gong of Yanzhou and Governor Yu Kai of Yuzhou to rescue Murong Yong. Murong Yong worried that the Eastern Jin Dynasty would not send troops, and sent his prince Murong Liang to the Eastern Jin Dynasty as a hostage. Houyan pursues Murong Liang and catches him at Gaodu. Murong Yong was in a hurry again in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Tuobaqian, Chen Liugong and general Yu Yue were sent by Emperor Daowu of the Northern Wei Dynasty to lead 50000 cavalry troops to cross the Yellow River eastward and gather in Xiurong to rescue Murong Yong. Before the reinforcements of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the Northern Wei Dynasty arrived, the generals of Da Murong Yidou GUI, such as FA Qin, opened the gate of the city and released Hou Yan army. Later, the soldiers of Yan seized Murong Yong and killed him. They also killed more than 30 people, such as Diao Yun and yidougui. They annexed eight counties under Murong Yong's jurisdiction, more than 70000 households, and countless chariots, costumes, musical instruments and treasures used by the emperor of the former Qin Dynasty.
