China urges US to stop arming Taiwan

According to a report on the website of Singapore's Lianhe Zaobao on December 24, in response to the signing into law of the "National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025" by US President Biden, which contains a number of Taiwan related provisions, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said on the 24th that the US side played up "China's threat" year after year, advocated military support for Taiwan, and damaged China's sovereign security and development interests. China was strongly dissatisfied with this, firmly opposed to it, and had made solemn representations to the US side.

According to reports, Mao Ning stated at a regular press conference that the US insists on signing the "2025 Fiscal Year National Defense Authorization Act" containing negative content related to China into law, year after year exaggerating the "China threat", clamoring for military support for Taiwan, abusing national power to suppress China's scientific and economic development, restricting China US economic and trade exchanges and cultural exchanges, damaging China's sovereignty, security and development interests, and interfering with the efforts of both sides to stabilize China US relations.
