Tingjiang Town, belonging to Mawei District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, is located in the east of Fuzhou City, on the North Bank of Minjiang Estuary. It faces Langqi town and Changle district across the river in the East, Guling and Huanxi in the west, Mawei Development Zone in the South and Maotou town in Lianjiang in the north. The area is 105.66 square kilometers. In 2018, there were 28563 registered residence population in Mawei town. By 2019, Tingjiang town has jurisdiction over 3 communities and 17 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
In the Tang Dynasty, it belonged to "hepuli" and "Haibin Li" in Jin'an township of Min county. During the song and Yuan Dynasties, it belonged to "Hepu Beili" and "Hepu Nanli" in the East Township of Jin'an in Min county. in the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to "jiangzuoli" and "jiangyouli" in the East Township of Jin'an. After Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to hebeili in the East Township of Jin'an in Min county. In the late Qing Dynasty, it was changed to Shanghe and Xiahe Beili, Dongyi District of Min county. during the period of the Republic of China, it successively belonged to the Second District of Minhou County, Gushan District, Min'an town district and Minting town. In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, Tingjiang town belonged to the third district of Minhou County (Majiang District). november 1961, under the jurisdiction of Fuzhou suburb. In 1963, he was appointed as Tingjiang district office. In November 1969, it was changed into Tingjiang people's commune. in February 1970, it was separated from the suburbs and classified as Majiang district. In May 1975, he returned to the suburbs of Fuzhou. In 1984, Tingjiang people's commune was changed into Tingjiang township. In 1988, the township was withdrawn and Tingjiang town was established. In November 1995, Tingjiang town was assigned to Mawei District, and the people's Government of the town was located in Yishan courtyard of Tingtou village.

The famous figures of Tingjiang town include Zheng Zhaoxian, Youcheng of Southern Song Dynasty, Lin Shuo, zuozhu of Ming Dynasty, Wang Youshu, a famous magistrate of Qing Dynasty, Wang Yunzhen, a modern poet, Lin Shuqing, a general of 1911 Revolution, and Wang Zhu, a revolutionary martyr.
