Zhao county, belonging to Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located 40 kilometers southeast of Shijiazhuang City, with a total area of 675 square kilometers and a total population of 613000 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 11 towns and 281 administrative villages. The county government is located in Zhaozhou town. It was Pingji County in the Han Dynasty, Zhao state in the Jin Dynasty, Zhao county in the Northern Wei Dynasty and Zhao state in the Sui Dynasty. It was changed to Zhao county in 1913. Zhao county has a long history and many cultural relics, with 21 cultural relics protection units.
The county is located in Hebei Plain, with abundant light and heat, rich groundwater, which is conducive to well irrigation and Shijin canal irrigation. It has four distinct seasons in a year, short in spring and autumn, and long in summer and winter. The sandy cinnamon soil in the East is suitable for the growth of Xuehua pear. The agriculture of Zhao county is developed, and corn and wheat are the main food products. Xuehua pear, commonly known as ivory pear, is a big pear with thin skin, juicy juice, high sugar content, and white as snow after ripening. Therefore, it is one of the high-quality fruits exported in Hebei Province.
On December 27, 2018, the people's Government of Hebei Province approved Lingshou County, Zhao county and Yangyuan County as garden counties in Hebei Province. In March 2019, it was listed as the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization area sub County list.
Evolution of organizational system
Zhao county has a long history, which can be seen in historical records and has a history of more than 2500 years.
In the Shang Dynasty, it was a place of Fang state.
In the early spring and Autumn period, it belonged to the state of Xianyu, and later to the state of Jin, known as Jipu (now the county seat of Zhao).
At the beginning of the Warring States period, it belonged to Zhongshan state, and later returned to Zhao state.
Qin unified China and implemented the system of prefectures and counties, with Song Zi under the jurisdiction of Julu County and Jipu under the jurisdiction of Hengshan County.
In the Western Han Dynasty, the Marquis of Jipu was granted in the sixth year of Gaozu (201 BC), and the Marquis of Pingji was renamed in the seventh year of Gaozu (200 BC). In the sixth year of Emperor Wen's reign (174 BC), Pingji county was established as a marquis state of Pingji county. It belongs to Changshan County and is located in Gucheng village, 1.5 km south of Zhaoxian county. Gaozu eight years (199 BC) in today's Zhao county 12.5 kilometers northeast of the son of song Marquis, Emperor Jing Zhongyuan two years (148 BC), the abolition of marquis County, Julu County jurisdiction. In the second year of Yuanshuo (127 BC), Emperor Wu set up the Marquis state in the area of xifengsi in the southwest of Zhao county, and removed it in the late Western Han Dynasty. During the reign of emperor yuan, Jingwu county was set up 20 kilometers east of Zhao county, belonging to Julu County.
In Xinmang period, Songzi county was changed to Yizi County, which belonged to Julu County and was abolished later.
Jingwu county was abolished in the early Eastern Han Dynasty. In the 17th year of Jianwu (A.D. 41), Changshan County was merged into Zhongshan state. In the 20th year (A.D. 44), Zhongshan state was analyzed and Changshan County was established.
At the beginning of the Three Kingdoms, Pingji county was under the jurisdiction of the state of Wei. Taihe six years (232 years) seal Zhao, jurisdiction Pingji.
In the Western Jin Dynasty, Pingji was transferred to Jipu, belonging to the state of Zhao. Once there was Songzi county.
During the Sixteen States of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, wars broke out everywhere, and the territory of Zhao county was divided. Its owners were changed: in the second year of Yongjia (308), Liu Yuanqian's capital was Ganyang (today's southwest of Linfen County in Shanxi Province), and the name of the state was Han. Zhao county belonged to Liu's family and ruled Pingji; shile was called houzhao according to Xiang state (today's Xingtai). In the ninth year (327 AD), Zhao county was set up and its house (today's southwest of Gaoyi County) governed Pingji; Murong was established Zhao Jun belonged to Murong family when Jun built Qianyan; Fu Jian destroyed Yan and built qianqin, and Zhao Jun was owned by Fu family in the 18th year of Jianyuan (382 A.D.); after Murong Chui was built, Zhao Jun returned to Murong family in the 10th year of Jianxing (395 A.D.); when Murong Baoli, the son of Murong Chui, took Bingzhou (today's Taiyuan), surrounded Zhongshan, and took Changshan counties. Zhao Jun's house was moved to Pingji, and then returned to Northern Wei.
In the northern and Southern Dynasties and the Northern Wei Dynasty, Yinzhou was set up in the second year of Xiaochang (AD 526) with guanga (today's east of Longyao city). Zhao county was under the jurisdiction of Yinzhou and led by five counties: Pingji, Fangzi, Yuanshi, Gaoyi and Luancheng. In the second year of Yong'an (529), Songzi county was restored to Julu County. In the third year of Yongxi reign (534 AD), the Northern Wei Dynasty was divided into the Eastern Wei Dynasty and the Western Wei Dynasty.
In the second year of Tianbao (551 AD), Yinzhou was changed to Zhaozhou because of avoiding the name taboo of Prince Yin. The name of Zhaozhou began here. The state was in guanga at the beginning, and then moved to Pingji. In 556 ad, Songzi county was abolished. Zhaozhou led four counties: Pingji, Gaoyi, yingyao (now Ningjin County), guanga (now Longyao).
In the first year of kaihuang of Sui Dynasty (581 AD), Zhaozhou was changed into Zhaojun and Songzi county was restored. In the third year of kaihuang (583 A.D.), Zhao county was replaced by Zhaozhou, and Pingji county was changed into Zhaozhou. In the Tang Dynasty, in the early years of Wude (618 AD), Zhaojun was changed to Zhaozhou, where Baixiang was governed. In the fourth year of Wude (A.D. 621), the prefecture government moved to Pingji. Wude five years (AD 622) Zhaozhou renamed luanzhou, Pingji County jurisdiction. In the early years of Zhenguan (AD 627), luanzhou was renamed Zhaozhou. It was governed by Pingji, which belonged to Hebei road. Its lower leaders were Pingji, Luancheng, Yuanshi, Yingtao, Zanhuang, Boxiang, Lincheng and Zhaoqing (now Longyao). In the middle Tang Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Chengde Jiedushi (now Zhengding County). In the early years of Tianbao, Zhaozhou was changed into Zhaojun. In the Qianyuan period of the Tang Dynasty (758-760 AD), Zhaozhou was restored.
During the Five Dynasties (907-960 AD), there were wars, wars and frequent changes of state names. The land of Zhaozhou changed its owners: in the time of Houliang (907 AD), Zhaozhou belonged to Wang Rong, the king of Zhao; Li Cunxu destroyed Liang and built houtang; in the first year of Yingshun (934 AD), Zhaozhou belonged to houtang; Shi Jingtang built Houjin and Tianfu eight years (943 AD), Zhaozhou was under the jurisdiction of Houjin; Liu Zhiyuan built houhan and Zhaozhou was under the jurisdiction of Houjin Later Han Dynasty: Guo Wei established the Later Zhou Dynasty in the first year of Guangshun (951 AD), and Zhaozhou was under the jurisdiction of the latter Zhou Dynasty. All of Zhaozhou's institutions are in Pingji.
In the Song Dynasty, Zhao was honored as the surname of the state. In 1109, Zhaozhou was promoted to Qingyuan military Festival. Xuanhe first year (1119) was promoted to Qingyuan house, which is located in Pingji, Hebei West Road, under the jurisdiction of seven counties: Pingji, Ningjin, Gaoyi, Baixiang, Zanhuang, Lincheng, Longping.
In the second year of Jingkang (1127), Qingyuan Prefecture was under the jurisdiction of Jin. In the seventh year of jintianhui (1129), Qingyuan Prefecture was changed to Zhaozhou. In the third year of Tiande (1151), Zhaozhou was renamed Wozhou, "the meaning of water and fire". Hebei West Road, county jurisdiction unchanged.
In the second year of Jin Zhengda (1225), Wozhou returned to yuan. Yuan Taizong six years (1234), home yonganzhou, Gaocheng governance, jurisdiction Pingji county. In 1235, yonganzhou was abolished and Pingji county was changed into Zhaozhou, which was the state governance.
In 1368, Pingji County of the Ming Dynasty entered Zhaozhou and was under the jurisdiction of Zhending Prefecture, with six counties of lingbai Township, Longping, Gaoyi, Lincheng, Ningjin and Zanhuang.
In the early Qing Dynasty, Zhaozhou belonged to Zhending Prefecture. In June of the third year of Yongzheng (1725), Zhaozhou was promoted to Zhili Prefecture, that is, Zhili Zhaozhou. The czechon emperor returned to Zhengding Prefecture, and the counties under its jurisdiction were Baixiang, Longping, Gaoyi, Lincheng and Ningjin.
Founded in the Republic of China (1912), the government was abolished in October, and the Prefecture was transformed into a three-level system of province, state and county.
In February 1913, Li Dafang, the governor of Zhaozhou, was ordered to change Zhaozhou into Zhaoxian County, which was subordinate to the Southern Hebei road.
In 1914, Jinan road was changed to Daming Road.
In 1928, Tao was abolished and Zhao county was established in Hebei Province.
During the Anti Japanese War, on December 14, 1937, Japan established the puppet regime "North China interim government" in Beiping, and Zhao county belonged to the 13th District of Hebei Province.
On January 1, 1938, the puppet Hebei Provincial Office was established, and Zhao county belonged to southern Hebei and central Hebei.
In May 1939, the Anti Japanese guerrilla government of Zhao county was established under the leadership of the four special departments in Southern Hebei. In October, shahedian and dongxiyang villages in the south of Zhaoxian City, and some areas of Yuanshi and Gaoyi, established Zhaoyuan gaobian district and county under the leadership of the four special offices in Southern Hebei.
In July 1940, gaobian district and county of Zhaoyuan was changed into zhaoyuanning United County under the leadership of the seventh special office of Jizhong.
In March 1943, in memory of Chen Xiru's heroic death, Zhao Yuanning county was changed into Xiru County, and the relationship of ownership remained unchanged.
In February 1945, Zhao county and Xiru county were merged to restore the original Zhao county, belonging to the sixth special area of Jizhong district.
In May 1946, Zhao county belonged to the 11th special district of central Hebei Province.
On August 1, 1949, the people's Government of Hebei Province was established, and Zhao county was designated as Shijiazhuang special district of Hebei Province.
On October 1, 1949, the people's Republic of China was founded, and Zhao county still belongs to Shijiazhuang special area.
On December 20, 1958, Zhao county was abolished and merged into Ningjin County, which belongs to Shijiazhuang special area.
On July 9, 1961, Zhao county was restored, and part of the original Luancheng County was incorporated into Zhao county, under the jurisdiction of Shijiazhuang city.
In January 1962, Luancheng of Zhao county was set up as a county respectively.
In 1970, Shijiazhuang area was renamed as Shijiazhuang area, which governs Zhao county.
