Perennial creeping herbs. Stem slender, less branched, 10-30 cm long, densely covered with fine hairs, brownish green. Leaves alternate, obliquely obovate, slightly fleshy, 5-10 mm long, 4-8 mm wide, apex obtuse, base medial cuneate, lateral auricular rounded, margin undulate toothed, with attached hairs. Short hairs on veins below; petiole very short; stipules small. Flowers unisexual, dioecious, axillary cymes; male inflorescence peduncle 1-1.5 cm long, covered with fine hairs; female inflorescence sessile, slightly spherical, with narrow lanceolate involucre on the outside, flowers very small, sepals 5, linear, chisel shaped appendages on the outside, persistent; stamens the same number; female inflorescence with tiny pseudostamens, pistil 1, stigma brush like. Achene elliptic, about 0.7 mm long, with tuberous protuberance on the surface and 1 seed inside. The flowering period is from March to April. The fruit period is from April to May.
