Annual herb, 20-50 cm high. Stem erect, obtuse, quadrangular, usually branched from base, with white grains; branches obliquely ascending, striated. Leaves alternate, rhomboid ovate, 3-5 cm long and 1.5-3 cm wide, apex obtuse, base broadly cuneate, margin usually undulate obtuse serrate, middle pair of teeth larger, lobed, densely powdery below, grayish white; petiole short.
