Tong Xuan
Tong Xuan (1425-1498) was named zhiang. He was a scientist, writer and folk artist of Ming Dynasty. In his later years, his research on wooden crafts had a great impact on the development of woodworking products in Ming Dynasty.
At the beginning of Yongle, he was called to qintianjian in Nanjing by jingtianguan. Jingtai two years (1451) Jinshi, granted Nanjing to Shizhong, Jindu to Shizhong. At the beginning of Chenghua's reign, he was transferred to shouchang County of Zhejiang Province (now jiandenan) and promoted to Yunnan Province as an inspector general. In 1474, he was called Shaoqing of Taichang temple, supervisor of zhangqintian, promoted to Siqing in the 15th year of Jingtai, and became an official in the 19th year of Jingtai. In the first year of Hongzhi (1488), he returned to be the Minister of Taichang temple, still in charge of tianqin supervisor. In the fourth year of Hongzhi's reign, he moved to Nanjing as the right servant of the Ministry of Li. In the seventh year of Hongzhi's reign, he was promoted to the Minister of Li and became an official in the tenth year. In the eleventh year of Hongzhi's reign (1498), he died on February 19 at the age of 74.. He is proficient in astronomy and calendar. He once wrote Li RI Shu, emphasizing the observation and verification of stars, and advocating "seeking the movement of nature by the number of nature". He has a wide range of literature and strong calligraphy. He is the author of qingfengting manuscript, zhenzui collection, jimengyaolan, haiyuejuanei and chibianlu, among which jimengyaolan is included in Sikuquanshu.
